MALLISE, Edward

Edward was the eldest of three sons of Edward and Eliza Mallise of Inverell.  His birth was registered at Bundarra in 1897.  He was a single man working as a Labourer when enlisted at Inverell in January 1918.  His father gave permission for him to serve overseas.

Edward was in the Military camp at Liverpool NSW when he became ill with pneumonia. He died after admission to the Field Hospital at Liverpool and was buried at the Church of England Cemetery, Liverpool.

Private Edward Mallise has his name recorded on the Inverell Anglican Church and the Mt. Russell Honor Rolls.  His name is also inscribed on the Inverell Honor Roll.
