FRASER, William Augustus Carr

William was the eldest child of William and Fanny Fraser. He was born in Western Australia and educated at Inverell before going to Sydney University to study medicine.

At the age of eighteen and a half, William enlisted in Sydney in September 1918 giving his home address as his father’s farm ‘Terra Bella’ Delungra NSW. 

He had served four years in cadets and one year with the Militia. After having the required vaccinations and being passed fit for service, the War had ended and he was discharged before leaving Australia.

William returned to university to study Veterinary Science. He eventually married and worked in Victoria where he died in 1944. William’s name is recorded on the Delungra Honor Roll and on the new Anzac memorial at Delungra.
