HOUGH, Richard George

Richard’s birth to Michael and Matilda Hough was registered at Inverell in 1900. At the age of eighteen, and with his parents permission to serve overseas, he enlisted at Inverell in October 1918. At this time he was working as a Farmer at Delungra.

Due to the end of the War, Richard was discharged in December 1918. In 1923 he married in Sydney and later lived in Victoria where he died in 1985. He is buried with his son at Brighton Cemetery.

Richard’s name is recorded on the Delungra Roll of Honor and on the new memorial gate at Anzac Park, Delungra.
