LACEY, Kenneth Charles Warner

Kenneth lived at the property ‘Budore’ Delungra.  He was a Captain with the English Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry Corps. It is likely he enlisted or obtained a commission overseas during the First World War as no Australian Service record has been found for him.

He was one of eleven men given a Welcome Home function at Delungra in August 1918. In 1922 he married at Inverell and by 1930 was living in Sydney. Six years later he had returned to his Delungra property.

Kenneth died in Sydney in 1966. His name is recorded on the Delungra Roll of Honor and on the new Anzac Memorial in the park at Delungra.
