BLACKLOCK, James Thomas

James enlisted at Mungindi NSW on 21 May 1918, stating he was a thirty three year old Shearer and listing Mrs. James Blacklock of Sydney as his next of kin. He passed a medical examination held that same day and another three days later at Inverell. The following month James was rejected following a third medical examination at Victoria Barracks in Sydney.

James was born at Coonamble NSW to Thomas and Isabella and his birth registered in 1884. He died in Sydney in 1962.

James was one of Australian’s Indigenous men who volunteered to serve during World War 1.
