PARR, Arthur Joseph Cameron

Arthur’s birth was registered at Warialda NSW. He was the eldest child of Joseph and Ann Parr. When he enlisted at Warwick., Queensland in March 1916, he was a twenty four year old single man working as a Stockman at Yetman NSW. His mother was living near Yetman and his father was deceased.

Arthur joined the 5th Light Horse Regiment, 21st Reinforcement and left Australia for Egypt on HMAT A58 Kabinga in September 1916. He served in Egypt until returning home in 1919.

After the War, Arthur lived near Yelarbon, Queensland. He died in 1957 and is buried in Yelarbon General Cemetery.
